When this place first opened we would visit before or after a movie (it's a block from the movie theaters in New Lenox). The food used to be decent for what it was. After our last visit, we would never return. The place is very dirty and the food has taken a nose dive (didn't think you could screw up a burger, but yes, you can). Our burgers were burnt and the service was awful. The place needs a good cleaning too so I wouldn't want to see the kitchen. Yuck!

The plus to this place is that it is near the movie theater and gives a discount with your stub. Otherwise it is pretty much an average bar - noisy with slightly better than average bar food. Convenient, yes. Mouth watering? Not really. It's lively and they are super friendly, probably great if you just want to drink.

We had a party of 20 people, and we were treated SUPERBLY!!! I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant - for both food and service. It is about a 35- to 40-minute ride from my home, but I would not hesitate to go back to this place again -- and soon!! Thank you, Kelly, for the one-on-one service you gave to me and to our party. It was definitely appreciated!

After years of driving by this place (right off I-80) we were invited by friends (that have gone there before) to join them on a Saturday evening. I'm going to start by saying that I do not understand all the negative reviews. Now I'm as fussy as the next person and do not enjoy bad food or bad service when it happens and do not return to places that I experience it. Things were jumping due to NCAA tourney games but we called ahead and were seated within 5 min of arriving. Server (sorry forgot her name) was prompt and attended to things well. Everyone at our table (of 5) enjoyed their food and drinks. We used a Groupon but didn't have any issues with the server or any management about doing so. Looking forward to returning to try other items on menu and for more Turbodog.(on tap)

There was a groupon for this place so my boyfriend and I decided to try it! I really like the overall layout the bar is right in the center of the entire place and the place is huge with a lot of room to eat or dance later in the night. They have nightly specials for drink and good and and the staff was very friendly!

Went in last night for some drinks and some girl time. Nice atmosphere; close to home, friendly faces. Had a good selection of drinks. WEnt in after I had already ate dinner; but would love to go in a little earlier next time to eat. Loved that there was a dj and I actually got to hear some good music instead of a jukebox. I hate going to bars without live music. Asked Dj to play a song; he was friendly and played it. will be going back!

Ordered takeout, since going and sitting in that warehouse is not pleasant. The guy on the phone hung up as soon as my brother was done talking, and not surprisingly, they forgot to make half the order. After waiting for the other half, the first half got cold, but they didn't offer to keep it warm or anything. Took almost an hour to make the second half, which is unacceptable. The shepherds pie was pretty good, but the spinach and artichoke appetizer was garbage... Lukewarm, thick melted cheese with big artichoke chunks, not good at all. And hey, all that for the low price of $50! This place is crap.

Let me reiterate. This is a great place to hang out with friends. They spent some dough on the building. Acoustical panels on the ceiling to buffer the noise. Who does that in what I thought was a sports bar. We started with chicken quesadillas that came out on a serving platter. It was that big! Tot skins that had about an inch of cheese on them and fried zucchini. There was about two dozen zucc's on the plate. If I'd a known I wouldn't have ordered the pork chops. They were big and juicy char broiled numbers. I couldn't finish both. But I did manage to eat the baked potato and sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious and I couldn't have anticipated that I would get this quality of food at a place hidden behind the theater.

I can agree with the 3 star rating and let me explain. It has all the potental of a 4 star rating but they may need to stay on these reviews and make some changes. I've been there 3-4 times in the past 2 weeks. Mostly because of the location to the theatre. Most of my issue comes with the service. Two of the times there was no place setting and when the ffo came we had to wait for salt, napkins ketchup etc. My soda glass was empty and wasnt asked for a refill untill I was almost done. So I believe if management spent time walking the tables, maybe they could see some of this.Id also have to agree it's more of a sports bar with an small irish flair On a positive note the food all 3-4 times was good. Also on our last visit there was a customer that has an issue with a cut of prime rib. the Mgr was involved and handled it very well and actuall gave the women customer a complete meal to take home. She and her husband polished off there plate, so the meat could have been that bad...actually I feel the resturaunt was played. The last time we had the same waitress and she nailed everything, setting was on, service was on and she even gave us a discount on found because I mentioned we were going to a movie. I never asked for as discount at all. So all in all I believe we have a diamond in the ruff. Management just needs to stay on point and watch and listen to what.s going on more. Resturant business is hard you normally get one shot...... your greeeting, service and food all have to be on and then the customer may still not give you feedback on what is going on, just not come back and then give you bad street reviews.

My husband and I stopped in for an appetizer and couple of drinks. It was early on a weekday (5pm) so the place was not crowded at all. We were promptly met at the door and had our choice of seating. The waitress was very prompt, professional, and friendly. The drink special was $3 tall domestic beers and the beer was ICE COLD! Which is a plus. We just ordered nachos, but wish we also would have gotten chicken wings, as the table over had them and they smelled amazing. The nachos were good, just what we were looking for. Based on our experience we will definitely go back, and next time stay for dinner.

I met some of the boys here for a couple cold ones and had a great time. Sam and Amy were our servers and they did a great job. The place was packed and the food looked good but none of us ate. We just drank. And drank. And drank. Shots of fireball, crown and makers went down easy.

We just left and had a great dinner. The burger was great, my wife loved the Fish, and the kids portion was more than our son could eat. Thanks to Laura for taking good care of us. Great job, keep up the great work! P.S. I TK's is generous to donate 100% to a Benefit, how could anyone complain about the drink selections?

I gave this place three chances and it just did not work for me any time. I didn't find any food that impressed me. Nothing was terrible, nothing was great it was all meh. The food seems like food purchased from an institutional supplier and then prepared without much imagination or creativity. I didn't have any problem with the service. The building makes the place seem huge and I was surprised that interior wasn't bigger. It's not that that it is small -there is plenty of room. I just thought it was huge whenever I drove past it on my way to the movie theater. The seating area is one large room -very open with a high ceiling and a good sized bar in the in what is basically the center of the room. Seems like a nice enough place to go for drinks but skip the food.

Just had dinner.. My $20 ribeye was very fatty...and not even a basket of bread? Why give me a bread plate at the table? Son had a decent cheeseburger but not enough fries...would I come here again? Not sure?

Went to dinner with my daughter last night, and decided on TK's. The food, atmosphere, and service were all top notch. In particular, I want to give a shout out to our server, Amber. As soon as we were seated, she was friendly, helpful, and always had a smile on her face! We will definitely be coming back soon.

We've only been here a few times, mostly because it's close to the movie theater, but we haven't gone in a while since we started using Redbox instead of going to the theater. The name and décor may be trying for Irish, but Tom Kelly's is actually more of a sports bar, not a pub. The food is pretty decent. I remember the ribs and potato pancakes as being especially good. There's also a good beer selection. The downsides to this place are the small, crowded parking lots and the noise level. The main bar area is a large square which constantly echoes so that you can hardly have a conversation. Not good if you want a romantic or quiet evening, but an okay place to stop off before or after a movie.

Met family for birthday dinner on a sunday, 6pm. When we walked in, were met with the over powering stench of BLEACH (and no hostess). Sat at table by fireplace, but out the window was a tall, blinding landscape light beaming into the window. Had to close a dusty blind to block it out. Food order for 6 took a long time; there were no more than 5 tables. Food was tolerable, at best, "toasted" irish soda bread tasted "stale". Hope you like vanilla ice cream, it comes on every dessert. Requested drink from bar, bartender had to "look up" recipe, still wasn't made right & was watered down. Used women's restroom, no hand soap! Soap dispenser was broke, in pieces, laying on top of sink. Won't be back here again.

I have been to Tom Kelly's many times and always enjoy the place. I was there because of the convenience to the movie theater down the road. I enjoyed the atmosphere, mainly watching the football game while visiting with friends. For my meal, I enjoyed the blackened Tilapia with double backed potato and steamed vegetables. The beef barley soup before the meal had a good taste as well. The server we had was very nice, courteous, and professional. I recommend Tom Kelly's, my only problem would be their parking, tried to go back after the movie and there was no parking in the lot or temporary lot next to building.

Stopped in for a light dinner before going to iMax Theater next door. Service was excellent. Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The restaurant is a sports bar. Lots of TVs. Modern, clean and comfortable. The menu is your basic sport bar fair. We had: Steak Wrap - light on spices, mostly lettuce and a little meat. Bison Burger - little overcooked and dry. Ketchup saved the day. Guinness Beef Stew - pretty tasty and good portions. French onion soup was very tasty. $50 for three (no drinks - hey we're going to be a 2-1/2 hour movie) Reasonable priced, fair food, comfortable and close the iMax.

Tom Kelly's is a great place to go in New Lenox. Wait staff is excellent and the food is pretty good. What really stands out about this place is the atmosphere, if you want a place to kick back with friends, this place is it!

Unbelievably bad owner. Went in for a Bears game and watched the guy bring his buddies up to the front of the free buffet line in front of everyone and explain that "I own the place, I can do whatever I want". Couldn't believe this guy actually said that to people. I also watched a guy win a scratch card and was told by the owner what kind of tip he needed to give. Haven't been back there in years and never will.

Had a quick dinner to go tonight. Ordered the Guiness stew with brisket, AMAZING, as always. Highlight of the evening: Samantha the bartender was fast, very nice and was nice enough to hand stuff some Blue cheese olives for me...TWICE! That is what I call going the extra mile! Also made one helluva great dirty martini! Thanks again!

I've been here a few times on the weekends strictly to drink. No complaints. Standard pricing, good service, good size location. It can get pretty crowded though. Came here a few weeks ago to have some drinks and decided to order some food. I'm not sure if it was the booze speaking, but the pizza was amazing! Can't wait to go back and try it again-sober.

Came here for after work drinks. Plenty of space at the bar. However, if you're going to market yourself as an Irish pub, learn how to property pour a proper pint of Guinness! I was a tad disappointed in the appetizer as well. Portions were small!

St Paddys night at TomKellys excellent food, atmosphere, music. service great. Samantha, our waitress top shelf on top of all her tables. Will certainly return.

Lots of beers and excellent food. The Guinness Burger is out of this world. Basically so is the rest of the menu. Prices are reasonable for this nice of a place. The owners are present pretty much everything I've been there and Tom greets me and my friends and remembers us from our previous visits. They have special events from time to time as Well. A must stop place to go before or after a movie at the nearby theatre

When I used to live in Mokena, I would visit here for many different occasions. Football games, Afternoon brunching, or to party all night with a group. Granted it's been a while since I've been here but the 7or 8 dozen times I've been, I've always enjoyed myself, the food, the bartenders, and atmosphere. I hope it's still same. I will visit next time I'm in town to update this review.

Was here for the first time last night. The place was nearly full. Good sign but not sure because it is so close to the theater. We only had time for a few apps as we are trying to get to the show. We sat at the bar and the service was good. The decor of the place is better than your average bar for sure, nice actually. As I said we only had a short time so we tried the wings and chicken quesadilla both of which were pretty good. I would try this place again to get a real feel for what the food is. What we saw going by looked very good and portions were good as well it seemed. Not sure I will drive out of my way to do it but would try here again if going to the show.

We haven't been to Tom Kelly's in quite some time bs went tonight since I used to love their Ruben. They changed this or menu and cut down on many items. Our waitress was sweet but not very good. She forgot to put our order in, came and told us after about 20mins of waiting. When we finally got our food it was so different than it once was, my Reuben was about half the size and not one marble rye like it was prior. My husband got the club and it was seriously like a mini sandwich, like something you should of received 3 of in an app. Everything else was mediocre. They defiantly are going a cheap route and you can notice it. The waitress didn't take anything off our bill for our long wait and seemed to be very overwhelmed with the few tables she had. Probably not going back

There's really nothing special about this pub. The ambiance was bizarre. Irish decor with music varying from Sarah Mclaughlin to 90's dance. The TV'S had Disney movies and sports with no subtitles. Our waitress was friendly, but slow. It was not a busy night so there's really no excuse for that. I ordered a cheeseburger and it was just a cheeseburger. Nothing remarkable. The fries were good though. Very flaky and crispy, but fluffy on the inside. I wouldn't say that I wouldn't return here again, but there's nothing that really stood out to me to make me come back or go out of my way. Just a mediocre experience overall.

The wife and I decided to see a movie over in the new Lennox area because we wanted to go out to dinner and are sick of the same old restaurants out in our area. This place was right by the movie theater and we figured what the hell let's try this place. Now this place looks pretty damn good if you want to go have a few drinks but their food was nothing special. As we sat down the place itself looks clean and it is wide open. A lot of people complained that it was really noisy but I didn't think it was any more noisy than a tgi Fridays. So good news is that this was a clean place and the guy that sat us down was nice. The waitress was also really good so at least this time, the service was really good. Now onto the food. My wife got the prime rib and I got the blackened ribeye with blue cheese on top. Both of us got baked potatoes and mixed vegetables with it. Now there was nothing wrong with either of our dishes but their wasn't anything that would make me go back for food. I thought it was odd that mixed vegetables were served and they looked like they might have been out of a can but they didn't taste like it. The meat was fine but kind of wish you don't find so much fat in a ribeye. We watched ordered two drinks each and again nothing impressed me with my drink but my wife ordered some Bloody Mary with bacon in it and that was really good. It had more of a sweet taste to it but it worked. They had a decent amount of beers on tap so this would be a good place to go and have a few ones In conclusion, I wouldn't go back for dinner. Paying 20 dollars for a piece of meat that I could have gotten for cheaper is not the way to go for me. I give the service credit because if was really crowded and a lot of places fail in that area. Also they do give you a discount if you bring in a movie stub so that is cool also.
